How do you decide which room is best for my cat?
If you’re not sure which room type is best, that’s completely okay — we love helping with this.
When you fill out a reservation request, we’ll review your cat’s personality, history, energy level, and any special needs, and recommend the room that will set them up for the best stay. Room placement is something we take seriously, and we’re always happy to talk it through with you.
Our goal is always the same: a calm, safe environment where your cat can feel secure and build trust with our team.
Why are internal-facing rooms often recommended for first stays?
Internal-facing rooms are designed to limit outside stimulation and allow us to fully curate your cat’s environment. This helps many cats — especially first-time boarders, shy kitties, seniors, or cats who are easily overwhelmed — adjust more smoothly.
Because stimulation is controlled, cats often feel confident exploring the kennel during their turns, which leads to more interaction with staff and a stronger sense of familiarity.
Why aren’t exterior-facing rooms recommended for a first stay?
All of our rooms are social and allow cats to see into the kennel, but exterior-facing rooms add an extra layer of stimulation from the outdoors. For cats who are new to boarding or new to our facility, this can be a lot to take in at once.
Once we’ve had the chance to get to know your cat and see how they respond to the environment, exterior-facing rooms can be a great option for confident or returning guests.
Can my cat change rooms during their stay?
Yes — in some cases, we may suggest a room change if we feel it would better support your cat’s comfort or wellbeing. This is always done thoughtfully and with your cat’s best interest in mind.
